Life Day Spa Aspen- Therapist Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Assist and offer guest future booked appointments.
Arrange workstation, treatment room, and other areas as per company requirements. Example staff room, facial kits, stock room, staff kits
Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a Hygienic, safe and comfortable manner.
Promote and upgrade treatments offered by the spa to your guest to enhance treatments.
Monitor consumption levels of stock and ensures that par stock levels are always maintained.
Provides individualised bodywork treatments that meet the guests needs and expectations.
Be thoroughly familiar and able to recommend spa products and treatments and sending clients prescription of recommendations.
Obtains the basic medical history for a client, assesses any problems or conditions and suggests appropriate therapy based on current health of client. If client has contraindications and insist on continuing, a consent form needs to be signed.
Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications like any allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy before beginning the service.
Maintains spa and treatment room appearance, cleanliness according to standard operating procedures.
Maintain knowledge of hours of operation, memberships, booking reservations, fees, treatments, products and merchandise as well as monthly promotions.
Set up and organise workstation with designated supplies, forms and resource materials, report shortages to operations.
Cleaning and sanitizing work areas as per COVID-19 protocols, changing treatment room sheets, and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before each use.
Be familiar with all spa packages, promotion, prices and rates.
Ensures that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the spa.
Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, also use equipment only as intended.
Anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times and maintain client details and confidentiality.
Personal related matters are not to be discussed with your guest.
Try to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and inform the management about any incidents or guest complaints immediately.
Handle emergency procedures and report any accidents to your manager.
Handle inappropriate guest behaviour as per the SOD standard operating procedures for Inappropriate conduct for guests and therapists.
Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service.
Perform consultation with client prior to each treatment.
Fill out necessary reports (checklist, Covid register) at the start of each day and by the end of each day.
Maintain and upkeep the procedures setup for COVID-19 as per SOD training provided.
Attend all scheduled meetings, classes and training sessions; knowledge required. As per SOD standard passing rate for internal and external training is 90%
Assists with all linens used in treatment rooms along with general cleanliness within the staff kitchen, treatment rooms, manicure and pedicure stations, stock cupboards and facial kits.
Carry out any other duties assigned by management.
Physically fit and in good health (strength is not a major requirement, but stamina is necessary).
Caring, positive attitude to clients.
Genuine interest in helping clients overcome their physical problems.
