I am now looking for an Assistant Manager for a guest house restored and beautifully decorated with exquisite antiques, it occupies a stunning location amidst vineyards overlooking Table Mountain having spectacular sunsets.

Skills

R8000.00 with shared staff accommodation (partially furnished), R10 000.00 without accommodation.  Live in position preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties:

  • Daily Duties such as:

o   Checking in and out of guests

o   Assisting with food and beverage service

o   Reservations and email correspondence

  • Promote 100% guest satisfaction throughout property. Instil the 100% guest satisfaction objective to employees and casual staff. 
  • Ensure that all guest related issues are resolved in a manner consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of respect, co-operation and comradery with all staff to create a happy working environment for all employees.
  • Motivate and give direction to all employees.
  • Inspect and document repairs and cleanliness of property to ensure optimum upkeep and repair, room cleanliness and overall property appearance.
  • Participate in and monitor monthly inventory of supplies and equipment, this would include weekly stock takes and daily stock checks.
  • Ensure purchases made are within budget and by approved vendors.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum criteria required:

  • Tertiary Hospitality / Tourism Diploma or qualification
  • Min 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience with F&B, conference and weddings advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Winelands Area advantageous
