Job Description

My client is the second largest player in their industry within Southern Africa. Seeking to employ a top calibre Production Manager.
Area: Atlantis
The successful candidate needs to be driven and self motivated with knowledge and understanding of FMCG markets.
Attitude must be “can do”
Must understand and can drive continuous improvement processes within production and related departments.
Use key performance indicators to obtain and track abovementioned improvements.
Communication must be top notch.
Understand and can drive Best In Class /Best Practices of FMCG production.
Can set and control budgets.
Relevant qualifications.
Have a good understanding of Industrial Performance and be able to implement it.
Qualification, Accreditations, Experience and Skills:
Production Management Diploma
Minimum of 5 (Five) years experience at managerial level in food processing industry
GMP & HACCP Knowledge
Highly computer literate
Good Communication Skills
Have attention to detail.
Be physically and medically fit.

Working closely with colleagues, the successful incumbent will be responsible for (amongst others and not limited to):
To receive and inspect all incoming raw material according to documented product specifications.
Ensure sufficient stock levels of all ingredients are maintained at all times.
To manage an efficient production facility versus pre-determined production targets
The effective utilization of a suitably qualified and highly motivated human resource.
To manage the efficient utilization of all assets.
To achieve set ratings for Manufacturing Excellence Charter.
To comply with Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
To continuously improve the production and distribution efficiencies.
To ensure that all production standards are strictly adhered to in accordance with the companies Quality Standards, GMP and HACCP requirements.
Manage the inventory to set standards and best practices.
Conducting monthly inventory and stock control exercises and administers inventory and stock control reports.
Compile monthly reports and issue them on time.
To manage the production team
Perform general production administrative tasks.
To ensure all preventative maintenance and is carried out on all equipment.
Do regular crew meetings with feedback sessions.
Adhere to all company policies

To ensure the efficient, cost effective and profitable management of the Companies Plant thereby ensuring that all products are produced and supplied to the customer at the required quality standards
Apply basic hygiene and sanitation and adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions.
Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the British Retailer Consortium Food safety Management System and QC/QA functions
High level of professionalism (integrity, confidentiality)
High level of care and attention to detail
Above average interpersonal skills
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work well under pressure, independently and troubleshoot
Self-starter with high energy levels including being pro-active
